Can't remember whether I've featured this little bar under the Yarra Footbridge in the CBD before. It's a busy spot, day and night. I always enjoy the contrast between the chilled out drinkers and the scurrying workers and shoppers above them.
What a great use of footings! There is a strangely cold shade of blue throughout your photo today, Alan. I will be down in Melbourne for the first week of September, so must mention this bar to my friend, Diane. I am sure she knows of it!!
Julie, I shot this handheld in very low light and needed to tweak it fairly substantially to get a decent-ish result, hence the blue tones. September will hopefully be a little warmer for you than today was!
Bluish tint photo is cool, but really like the height of buildings. It's a nice place and must be a pretty sight from the bridge. Many greetings. Peter.

ReplyDeleteI actually like not only the image but the result of your tweaking.

ReplyDeleteI can't recall seeing this photo before Alan - Love the shifting shades of silver and blue.
ReplyDeleteLove the color in this one.
ReplyDeleteI love the location of that bar!
ReplyDeleteLike Dawn I love the color and I really love the idea for a bar in that location. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteThank you all:-)
ReplyDeleteI like the blue tones too. It seems very Melbourne to put a cafe/bar somewhere like that. BTW, I think it's called Ponyfish Island.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that, Frisky. Thanks!
